HOURS:

8:00 am - 4:30 pm, M-F, Weekend coverage as needed (no more than one weekend per month for 2 hours)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A High School Diploma and 1 year experience in an IT Support Role.
  • Preferred: An Associate's Degree in an IT related field and three years of directly applicable experience working with a help desk ticketing system.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will coordinate and administer the duties outlined below with a high degree of proficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Provide customer service focused first line technical support utilizing remote tools, to faculty, staff, and students.
  • Use analytical skills to troubleshoot a variety of hardware, software, network, and systems issues.
  • Complete employee on-boarding and off-boarding tasks.
  • Monitor and answer incoming service calls and tickets to the IT Support Desk.
  • Fully document and log interactions within the IT Service Management Platform, adhering to SLAs.
  • Collaborate with team members, suggesting possible solutions and escalating issues as needed.
  • Work with other IT teams as needed.
  • Identify trends and technical improvements - escalating to management.
  • Support IT roadmap projects, enhancements, and support/maintenance of technology services.
  • Contribute to and/or lead continuous improvement projects for incident and problem management procedures.
  • Professionally handle confidential information.
  • Adhere to security policies and procedures.
  • Attend team and individual video meetings.
  • Ad-hoc project work as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to move around the campus or location.
  • Verbally communicates with students, staff and colleagues via telephone or face to face conversations.
  • Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess.
  • Operate equipment specific to programmatic track, personal computer, audio-visual equipment, etc.
  • Frequently positions self to maintain computer related equipment which may involve bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
