Company Overview

The Lutheran Home Association, serving communities in Minnesota and Wisconsin, is searching for people with unique talents to provide for the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs of the people entrusted to our care.

Our staff members enjoy a wide variety of benefits including a generous pool of Paid Time Off for vacation, personal time and sick leave; 401(k) program; health and dental insurance; optional life and disability programs; health care and dependent care flexible spending plans; and premium pay for holiday hours.

We serve people with unique health needs. Those we serve are the elderly, people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, and active seniors. We also serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and various types of mental illnesses. We maintain a system of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, residential settings for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, independent living for active seniors, and various support services.

The ministry of The Lutheran Home Association began in 1898 in Belle Plaine, Minnesota, as a home for orphans and the elderly. Today, we are a not-for-profit Christian ministry serving individuals in Minnesota and Wisconsin. More than 200 churches from the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) and the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS) from around the nation make up our association.

Jesus Cares Ministries, part of The Lutheran Home Association, provides Christian support, education, worship, and fellowship programs for individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and communities through a system of trained volunteers.

Our Resources and Education Office continues providing critical new materials and support needed and sought by Jesus Cares Ministries programs to serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We believe that spiritual care is a primary component in any care plan. Therefore, we have full-time chaplains at our larger facilities and regular chaplaincy programs sponsored by our association churches at our smaller homes.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

In Christ’s love, the mission of The Lutheran Home Association is to provide for the spiritual, physical, mental and emotional needs of people entrusted to our care.
