Job/Internship Description

Program Overview: Our Summer Intern program offers hardworking college students an opportunity to go beyond the classroom to develop leadership skills and gain relevant hands on experience working as part of a global support team with professionals across the enterprise. Additionally, interns will participate in scheduled activities throughout the summer, including sessions with Senior Leaders, site tours, volunteer opportunities, and other social events. Fiserv interns are in session from June 2, 2021 - August 13, 2021 and work approximately 40 hours per week. Summary of Department: We deliver Application Programming Interface (API) solutions across Card Services for our clients. API solutions include building APIs for internal and external clients, on-board APIs on to Fiserv API Developer Portal. API team builds APIs that service our debit and credit clients. We build REST APIs and maintain existing SOAP APIs for internal and external clients. You will have an opportunity to learn different technologies like Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, Apigee, Azure cloud. Job Duties: Build APIs for Card Console, IVR, CardValet Mobile App projects. Participate in Agile scrum activities and be part of Agile delivery team working on developing APIs. Learn about core business functionality, technology stack and existing APIs. Work on defects, enhancements for APIs. Qualifications: * Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree * 3.5+ GPApreferred * Must have advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge?and technical aptitude to learn new applicationsquickly * Able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively meetdeadlines * Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and verbal communications skills * Strong initiative; a self-starter with analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making abilities * Military-Affiliated candidates encouraged to apply (Veterans,MilitarySpouses, and Guard/Reservists) * Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require futuresponsorship Preferred Skills: * Java * knowledge about REST API * Eager to learn in short time * A team player.
